Hot off the press! Read all about it!

I hope everyone had a great time at Ignite, lots of excitement still coming off the event in our halls. It’s only been a few months since our launch of AP Elements, and we’ve managed to do quite a bit so far. In a few short months we’ve built a lot of pride in moving people to Office 365, and today we’re expanding on this in a big way. We have quite a bit of announcements around our existing solutions and a lot of new ones coming out.

Fly for Exchange Migration (Beta): The Fly family just birthed a new member! In addition to File Share, and SharePoint migration you’ll now be able to migrate from Exchange into Office 365!

Box/Dropbox to OneDrive for Business Migration (Beta): Box and Dropbox have been largely consumer technologies, and with OneDrive for Business consumers are now finding solace in Office 365. We have worked with Box in the past with AvePoint’s Cloud Connect, which presents Box content into SharePoint libraries without content migration, and vice versa. And we now have a solution to move Box/Dropbox content wholly into Office 365 for a much more complete integration.

We’re looking for partners to help us beta these new technologies. If you want to give it a whirl, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Other important updates

  • You can now install Fly 3.3 on your personal PC! We’ve been doing a lot of work to improve and simplify our install process, and version 3.3 of Fly is now just a two click process!
  • Fly 3.3 supports migrating from SharePoint on premises, File Share, AND Office 365 to Office 365, (tenant to tenant); or if your customer is unsure about the cloud, migrating on premises content to a newer version of on premises SharePoint is also supported.
  • Full/incremental option for File Share Migration and other advanced migration policies have also been added with Fly 3.3.

Many of the new features made to top development priorities all thanks to YOU and your invaluable feedback. We are loving it, so keep ‘em coming!  And stay tuned for future blogs, lots of exciting new support coming out for AP Elements, and we will be sure to update you in the coming weeks.
